Steps to Follow on Every Site Visit- Your Safety during Home Renovations FAQ

  1. Contact the building contractor by phone before every visit. Meet them as soon as you arrive, stay with them at all times and leave together.
  2. Discuss current danger areas- these will change every day
  3. Discuss the work currently in progress and the sort of danger it presents.
  4. Make sure the site is well lit before entering. Do not enter alone.
  5. Bring your mobile phone- make sure someone knows where you are and what time you are due back.
  6. Be mindful of your surroundings at all times.
