Dublin has thousands of 2 up 2 down terraced houses like this one, located in mature communities, some just minutes from the city centre. With narrow sites and basic construction few people realise their true potential. They were built as subsistence level family homes and are typically just 60m2. We have developed a strategy to increase this to over 120m2 with all the accommodation of a normal 4 bed house.
We secured permission from An Bord Pleanala to double the size of this home. This precedent shows how houses of this type can expand to cater for a growing family with high quality living space.
